Program or Service Asset Building Program

Individual Development Account (IDA) and Saving Circle programs combine money management training, one on one financial counseling, peer support and matched savings.

Participants of IDA programs save for designated assets such as home ownership, renovations, business capitalization and education while the Saving Circle program participants save for necessities, which will improve the quality of life such as furniture, disability supports and medical devices.

Free and Fee for service stand-alone Money Management training sessions are also provided.
Organization SEED Winnipeg Inc.

SEED Winnipeg Inc.'s mission is to combat poverty and increase the social and economic vitality of low income individuals, groups, organizations and economically distressed communities primarily in the Winnipeg area through delivering programs and services that help low income individuals, groups and organizations start and save money for future gaols.

SEED also conducts CED-related research and consults with other CED organizations and community groups at the local, regional and national levels in an effort to expand the adoption of CED methods as the normative approach to economic development in Canada
Eligibility Details Must live in the city of Winnipeg.
Be at or below the program's low income cutoff.
Have a stong desire to improve your financial future.
You must meet other criteria specific to your goal.
Some criteria varies between the different asset building, please call for further information.
